Klagenfurt, Austria — Day 4 of the World Championships is underway.
Klagenfurt’s hometown talents, Jasmin and Albin Ouschan, have been eliminated. Jasmin was bested by Allison Fisher (7-3) in the Last 32, while Albin fought a tough battle against Shane Van Boening, losing 10-8.
Defending champion Francisco Sanchez Ruiz of Spain remains in the running, prepared to safeguard the World 8 Ball title. He is scheduled to face off against Japanese standout Naoyuki Oi in the Last 16.
Eklent Kaci secures a spot in the Last 16 after a victory over David Alcaide. The Albanian is in fine form, despite sustaining a severe arm injury a few months ago.

In addition, the three divisions of Juniors are competing now for a spot in the final stage. Juniors will play quarter-finals at 7:30 pm local time.
Saturday schedule: Quarter-finals and semi-finals for Men’s and Women’s. Semi-finals for Juniors.
All five world championships finals will take place on Sunday.
There is $400,000 in total prize fund, and the biggest prize for the champions. $75,000 for men’s champion (96 field) and $50,000 (48 field) for women’s champion.
The events are hosted in Austria with the support of the city of Klagenfurt and region of Carinthia, Jasmin Oushan Billiard Academy, Richwert Promotions and Pro Billiard Series partners Predator, CSI and Kamui.
All five World Championship events will be streamed live on Predator Pro Billiard Series broadcast platforms.
